"Enticing varietal scents of pressed rose, new leather, perfumed berry and dark spice fill the glass. Showing power, finesse and restraint, the tight, polished palate delivers crushed raspberry, pomegranate, star anise and tobacco framed in firm, noble tannins. It's vibrant, balanced and ageworthy, with bright acidity. Drink 2024–2035. -KO"

"The 2015 Barolo Garblèt Sue' is dense and powerful in the glass. A rush of black cherry, plum, lavender, iron and sage literally burst from the glass. Ample, full-bodied and intense, the Garblèt Sue' is another stellar wine in this range. The typically incisive Garblèt Sue' tannins are nearly buried by the sheer richness of the fruit. Today, the Garblèt Sue' is distinguished by its wild, feral profile and huge core of fruit. In this vintage, the Garblèt is the overachiever in the range relative to how it shows in most vintages."

"Showing some immediate softness, the 2015 Barolo Garblèt Sue' is beautifully approachable and generously accommodating, even at this early stage in the wine's drinking window. Bring it out with a selection of goat cheeses. It's interesting to note that, at 40 years old, the vines of this cru in Castiglione Falletto actually rank as some of the youngest held by the Brovia estate, founded in 1863, before the unification of Italy."

"Lots of ripe fruit that shows plum and berry character with dried flowers, such as lavender. Full body. Juicy finish. Drink in 2020 and onwards."
"The grapes for this formidable “cru” are from the Garblet Sué vineyard (also referred to as the “Fiasco” vineyard) in Castiglione Falletto on south/southeast slopes at an altitude of 250 meters with soil that is predominantly limestone. This is a dynamic wine filled with surprises. The Garblet Sué” is a fraternal twin to the more stern and imposing “Villero” with the classic restrained power of the best of the wines from this classic village in the heart of the Barolo zone. The site is 0.7 hectare with vines planted in 1970 and 1979.
It distinguishes itself by its enormous energy, a positive and heady wine with a gorgeous interplay of black fruits and minerals. The lively presence on the palate reminds one of the remarkable ability of Nebbiolo to retain its vibrant acidity while building its sugar reserves. A favorite of ours …. 2500 bottles produced annually, half of which we import for the US market." - Importer
