"Vivid orange-pink. Vibrant, mineral-tinged strawberry, orange zest and rose scents, backed by a subtle anise element. Taut and minerally on the palate, offering juicy citrus fruit and red berry flavors that deepen slowly on the back half. Nicely concentrated yet lithe in style. A refreshingly bitter citrus pith note clings on the bracing, persistent finish."

"One of the finest roses I have tasted this year is Bedrock’s 2012 Rose Ode to Lulu. The primary label of Morgan Twain Peterson, this offering is his homage to the famous Lulu Peyraud of Domaine Tempier, which has long made one of the world’s greatest roses in the picturesque appellation of Bandol on the Mediterranean coastline. Composed of 60% old vine Mourvedre and 40% old vine Carignan, from both Sonoma and Contra Costa counties, it was aged in stainless steel, with lees stirring but no malolactic. A killer rose, it offers abundant aromas of blueberries, raspberries, lavender and spring flowers. This medium-bodied, expansive, dry, complex, bold, exuberant rose can be drunk over the next several years."
