"This Columbia Valley Merlot is juicy with flavors of blueberry, blackberry and chocolate that are met by firm tannins carrying textured hints of finely ground espresso and a hint of earthy clay-pot minerality lingering through the dry finish. It presents complex and rich aromas of black plum and dark berries that mix with notes of cedar, baking spice, red bell pepper and a hint of vanilla."

"This 2018 Merlot Gold Medal winner is sourced from Elephant Mountain and Reid Vineyards. All grapes were picked and taken in at optimum ripeness with a two week fermentation for full color extraction and fermented to full dryness. The wine was then barrel aged for 18 months in neutral oak providing a sensuous texture with balanced acidity and easy tannins. This merlot opens with fruit forward aromas with ripe boysenberry and spice on the nose. A robust savory palate with supple tannins leading to a peppery, dry finish." - Winery
