"Taking its cue from the Right Bank of Bordeaux and the village of Saint Emilion where winemaker David Jeffrey apprenticed with Dr. Alain Raynaud, the Calluna Vineyards Cuvée is a blend built primarily on Merlot, with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc playing an important role, along with smaller amounts of Malbec and Petit Verdot. The new 2010 CVC offers up red currant, black plum, soy and sage with a subtle Christmas spice accent.
