"Even at nine years old, this wine is only just mature. It still has citrus fruit flavors and a crisp texture. At the same time it offers rich spice, pepper and a toasty character that is cut with citrus acidity. Kept in an underground tank until bottling in December 2017, it is a great example of the aging ability of fine Muscadet. Drink now. -RV"

"The 2009 Origine du Haut Bourg from the Choblet brothers is made from vines that range from thirty to sixty years of age. The wine is fermented with indigenous yeasts and then aged on its fine lees in stainless steel tanks for a minimum of seven years prior to bottling. The wine is showing beautifully at age ten, offering up a pure, complex and classy bouquet of bread fruit, gently briny tones, a complex leesy undertow, lovely minerality and a touch of upper register smokiness. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied, and rock solid at the core, with fine soil signature, good acids and outstanding length and grip on the complex and à point finish. This is first class Muscadet at its peak! 2019-2030+."

"Bright and still very focused, with a savory mineral streak forming the backbone along with vibrant acidity, providing support for notes of lime, nectarine and white pepper. Intense and mouthwatering on the finish. Drink now through 2023. 800 cases made, 150 cases imported. — AZ"
