Luminous pale straw yellow. Clean and fresh aromas and flavors of ripe citrus fruit, yellow apple and a delicate hint of honey and resin. The last two notes absolutely typical of the lightly aromatic Malvasia Puntinata variety (it’s official name is Malvasia del Lazio). Gentle and soft in the mouth thanks to the cultivar’s inherently lowish acidity values when fully ripe, finishing very long with notes of pear and yellow apple. Stainless steel only. This is the first vintage of this wine released for sale by Cincinnato; the winery had also made a monovariety Malvasia Puntinata in 2017, but decided to blend it into their Illirio wine as had always been done. About 40,000 bottles a year.
