"This has a drop-dead gorgeous core of cassis and raspberry pâte de fruit flavors that holds center stage but still allows notes of Lapsang souchong tea, anise, incense and shiso leaf to chime in. Very long, with a sublime feel through the mineral-tinged finish. So seductive already, but this will cruise in the cellar. Drink now through 2040."

2) Could this be another wine of the year?
There were only two times when the Wine Spectator rated this wine 98. In 2005 they named it the #1 Wine of the Year and in 2010 it came in at #4. It very well could make it to the top of the list in 2017! While we can’t guarantee it will be #1, we can pretty much assume it will make the list!

3) “Looks to be the best vintage since 2010, in a decidedly more powerful style” -WS
2015 Southern Rhone is the hottest vintage for collectables since 2010. Everything about the vintage was perfect and the scores are proving it. Perfect conditions through the Spring, a hot Summer and a slightly rainy early Fall has led these wines to perfection. They will be some of the best Chateaneufs that we have seen in some time!
