Product Description:
"Another value that’s worth seeking out is the 2014 Lirac la Fermade, which is 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 10%Mourvedre that was raised all in concrete tanks. It offers forward, charming notes of framboise and strawberries, lots of spice, medium-bodied richness and no hard edges. It’s about as drinkable as they come and is perfect for enjoying over the coming 3-4 years." - Jeb Dunnuck, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"This wine is a blend of Black Grenache, Mourvedre and Syrah, matured in stainless steel vats. On the nose, the is a real garrigue display mixed with sweet plum fruit, liquorice and cassis. The palate is spiced, based on plum fruit and rasberries.
Lirac, the neighbouring appellation to Chateauneuf du Pape, produces wines with the same potential. The Fermade range is produced from grapes cultivated on soils with the famous rounded pebbles of the Rhône plus a parcel of sandy soils used for the white wines. The concentration and finesse of the red wine is based on a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre." - Winery
