"The 2012 Morgon Les Terres Dorees has a crisp green bell pepper bouquet that you might mistake as a fine Chinon. The palate is well-balanced and refined, quite tannic for a Morgon but adorned with a crisp and masculine, foursquare finish the leaves the mouth fresh and reinvigorated. Delicious?and classy. There are two reasons why I have included a Beaujolais producer in this collection of Burgundy notes. Firstly, I have adored Jean-Paul’s wines for many years and I cannot wait to tell you about them, just like my colleague David Schildknecht. Secondly, he approaches his wines and vinifies them in a Burgundian rather than Beaujolais style. I will follow up with more releases from this estate later in the year when I visit the region."
