"Fabulous aromas of crushed lemons, stones, yogurt, flan and cooked apples follow through to a full body, round and rich fruit and a flavorful finish. Dense and so long. Fantastic potential."

"Reduction presently dominates the underlying fruit though it appears to be ripe. There is both more volume and more power to the medium weight plus flavors that retain good precision on the relatively powerful and solidly persistent finish. This is not exactly classic in style but it's less 2015 in character than most wines from the vintage."

"This is supple and beautifully balanced, paving the way for apple, lemon cake and baking spice flavors. Fresh and resonant on the long finish. Seems forward, but this should develop nicely over the medium term. Best from 2019 through 2028. 40 cases imported."
"Bienvenue-Batard-Montrachet sits in the shadows of Batard Montrachet above the 1er Cru vineyards of Puligny Montrachet. The overall vineyard is just 10 acres with Domaine Faiveley controlling a single parcel of 1.25 acres almost directly below their parcel of Batard. Soils remain consistent to Batard with clay and white marl, but as the hillside has flattened, the wines produced tend to be more "Puligny" like showing elegance over power."
