"Round, with fleeting orange hints accenting the peach, butterscotch and ripe apple flavors. Firm and lively, showing fine balance and a long, juicy finish. Best from 2017 through 2024. 75 cases made. -BS"

90-92 Neal Martin - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"The 2013 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Cailleret has a low-key nose at first, with faint mandarin and lemon-sherbet scents that eventually gain confidence in the glass. The palate is crisp and vibrant with a keen thread of acidity that lends it a Puligny-like tension. This is one of Jean-Michel’s best 2013s with superb delineation on the finish. This is very classy."

92 Allen Meadows - Burghound

"Outstanding. Here the expressive and well-layered nose is exotic but not tropical in character with notes of dried yellow fruit, white peach, floral and airy citrus nuances. There is excellent mid-palate concentration to the full-bodied yet well-detailed flavors that possess a very clean and admirably pure palate impression before concluding in an impressively lingering and well-balanced finale. This is a fine effort and worth considering."

Product Description:

"Jean-Michel Chartron has really been ratcheting up his historic, Puligny-based domaine in recent vintages and I feel that there the reputation of this domaine is yet to catch up with quality you will find. Take just one look at the portfolio and you will see that Jean-Michel presides over some enviable parcels, even anomalies such as his red Puligny-Montrachet, as far as I know the only survivor (though as Jean-Michel pointed out to me, around one-third of the vines in Puligny were red until the Second World War.) You will find much to like in his 2013s, the wines generally full of vivacity and minerality, expressive of their respective terroirs." - Neal Martin, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
