"Good full medium yellow. Musky aromas of yellow peach, apricot and minerals lifted by a floral topnote. Boasts impressive volume and palate-saturating breadth but comes across as more closed than the Bienvenue in spite of its richness of texture. Finishes very long, though, with lingering notes of spices and smoke. Pernot recommends waiting three years before opening this."

"This is also very floral with acacia and lavender nuances that see added breadth in the form of citrus, white peach, apple and subtle spice hints. There is impressive power and muscle to the solidly well-concentrated broad-shouldered flavors that display both excellent depth and length on the wonderfully lengthy finish. I often prefer the Bienvenues chez Pernot but in 2011 it's awfully close between these two grands crus."
