"The hillside vineyard is in the heart of the Coombsville-Napa Valley AVA. It is set against the Vaca Mountains just east of the town of Napa with vineyard elevations ranging between 300 and 500 feet. The majority of the grapes are sold to Beau Vigne, Far Niente, Keenan, Hunnicutt, Lail, Merryvale, Realm and Richard Perry wineries.
The 2012 Cabernet is a beautifully balanced wine with ample texture and great aging potential. Ninety-five percent Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot, from our estate vineyard in the heart of the new Coombsville-Napa Valley AVA. The Cab components are from our Old Vine, Rockpile and T-Bud blocks which are positioned on a fairly steep slope facing due west. For the moderate temperatures of Coombsville, the exposure to the late afternoon sun, a key to the inherent richness and slow development of color tannin." -Winery
