"Rubissow Vineyard - a former grassy-ridged 1800s homestead - was purchased in 1983 and planted to vines by the family partnership of George Rubissow and his children, Ariel & Peter Rubissow. From the start, famed winemaker/ consultant André Tchelistcheff was retained to work closely with the Rubissows in the meticulous planning and development of the site. Together, their singular goal focused on producing world-class Bordeaux-style red & wihite wines under the Rubissow~Sargent label. After several successful decades in the market, in 2004 Peter & Ariel dissolved Rubissow~Sargent and founded Rubissow , with new winemaker Timothy Milos at the helm. Their vision was to respect and improve upon the decades of experience and farming wisdom gained in years prior, and to move ahead with modernity and elegance.
