Luis Gutierrez - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"The 2010 Barón D'A Grand Vin is a blend of Cabernet and Merlot from Ato Cachapoal, and Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Syrah from Alto Maipo, from a warm and powerful vintage. It fermented in small stainless steel vats and matured in oak barrels for 22-24 months. It has a bright nose of blue fruit, flowers and exotic spices; it is quite aromatic, open and exuberant. The palate is medium to full-bodied with some grainy tannins and good acidity, juicy, supple and very precise. 3,200 bottles.
If the reds of Aristos are phenomenal, the whites are other wordly, really world-class Chardonnays. This is a joint-venture between Pedro Parra, François Massoc and Louis-Michel Liger-Belair from Burgundy. Among the best in Chile today."
