Meaning “the butcher” in French, the 2017 Red Wine Le Boucher is the Cabernet Franc-heavy blend in the lineup and includes 61% Cabernet Franc, 16% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. It's all from vines planted in 1980 and was brought up in 70% new French oak. Bright, juicy notes of bay leaf, spring flowers, red currants, and dried flower notes all emerge from the glass, and it's an elegant, ethereally styled Cabernet Franc that can be drunk today or cellared for 10-12 years.
