"The 2012 Cuvée Traditionelle from Domaine du Vissoux is a very lovely example of the vintage, offering up a complex nose of sweet cranberries, cherries, vinesmoke, marjoram and a lovely base of soil. On the palate the wine is pure, fullish and beautifully balanced, with lovely intensity of flavor, just a touch of tannin and fine focus and grip on the long and classy finish. There is a lovely spine of “savory” flavors that run through the core of this wine that I really find attractive. This does not have quite the same mid-palate stuffing or the vibrancy of the 2011 version, but it is a very classy bottle that will not fail to delight. 2013-2020+."
