"Referred internally as 'Grand Cru' at the Estate, this offers a stunningly complex and multi-layered nose of peach, pear, quince, date and orange peel. This leads to a remarkably smooth and tactile feel on the palate and a great long and subtly delineated finish. There is quite some intensity at play here, but at no moment does this wine ever give one the impression of being over-powering. This is a truly remarkable juice! Now-2027."
"The second of the “village” wines in Haart’s portfolio has the same damned aristocratic problem: This is sourced completely from the blue-slate Ohligsberg. Again we have a “village” wine sourced from a Grand Cru. We should all have such problems. Julian’s parcel of the Ohligsberg faces southwest and it tends to inspire more middle-weight Rieslings. Compared to the buxom Goldtröpchens, Ohligsbergs are sharper and more compact – so it is with Haart’'s. Here, the flavors are cooler and wispier, peach, apricot with subtle green notes always highlighted by an airy perfume of white flowers." -Importer
