"This is made entirely from old vines in Cramant, Chouilly and Oiry: half of it comes from the 2009 harvest, while the remainder is split between 2008 and 2007. It feels even creamier than Lilbert's regular non-vintage blanc de blanc does, due in part to its lower pressure, yet it's also more intensely minerally as well, showing a dark, savory chalkiness that turns smoky, flinty and seashell-like on the finish, with a great deal of length and complexity. It's a superb wine, demonstrating real old-vine depth and character. Last tasted: 11/12"
