"A moderately toasty and very earthy nose primarily features ripe and somewhat somber dark berry fruit aromas that are in keeping with the equally serious, dense and powerful flavors that are very firmly structured on the muscular and lingering finish where a touch of warmth can be discerned. The wood also comes up on the finish but here it appears probable that it will eventually be absorbed."
