"A juicy malbec full of red fruit flavors, this has a firm backbone of acidity that holds the suave texture to a crisp line. For grilled grouper." (02/12)
Product Description:
Wine:
"Bursts with aromas of plums, blackberries and violets. Medium-bodied on the palate, with vibrant, dark fruit flavors. Excellent with red meats, pasta with red sauce, grilled vegetables, or classic Argentine dishes including
empanadas and asado."
VINEYARDS
"Produced from vineyards in Lujan de Cuyo, a top appellation in Mendoza known as the fabled "First Zone" (Primera Zona) of Argentine wine, where the Malbec varietal first achieved greatness. This wine comes from the I.P. Mendoza appellation, and is made of 100% Malbec, and sourced from old vines (averaging 40+ years old!) in Lujan de Cuyo at more than 3,200 feet above sea level. The grapes are harvested by hand and are macerated 15 days on the skins. Unoaked." - Importer
Winery:
"Named after the native flower of the same name that is often found growing in Andean mountain meadows in the southern spring, Notro is the first HPS-owned brand from Argentina. It has been extremely well-received in the marketplace, and has quietly taken off as one of the fastest-growing brands in HPS history." - Importer
