"The 2009 TWISTED is a typical Douro blend aged mostly in tank. If I was slightly underwhelmed by some of the pricier wines this year, this one sure hits the spot. It is the steal of the lineup. Bright and flavorful, with an earthy and transparent note, it does not have a lot of mid-palate concentration or a long finish, but it is pure, moderately complex and harmonious. This refined Twisted is a very nice one, with lots of finesse, but perhaps a bit more oomph than normal. It won't hold as well as the pricier wines, but at the moment it competes effectively. It is likely the best Twisted yet. Drink now-2018."
