"The 2009 Clisson from Domaine de la Pépière is a superb example of the vintage, with a racy spine of acidity that is fairly rare in this riper and slightly softer vintage in Muscadet. The 2009 Clisson offers up a reserved and very classy nose of bread fruit, lemon zest, gentle leesy tones, straw and kaleidoscopic minerality. On the palate the wine is deep, fullish and beautifully delineated, with excellent mid-palate depth, bright acids, lovely complexity and laser-like focus on the poised and very minerally finish. This needs some time in the cellar, but is a stellar bottle of young Muscadet. 2015-2035."
