Product Description:

"The 2008 Rebecca's Vineyard Pinot Noir comes from a 12-year-old vineyard in the Golden Triangle of the Russian River Valley (across the street from venerable Joe Swan Winery and under Kistler's Vine Hill Vineyard). Despite infinitesimal yields of .8 tons per acre, and an early pick-date of August 31st, the vineyard sings. The fruit might be a keynote lower in terms of aromatics - more Bing cherry rather than Queen Anne Lace, true black tea instead of bergamot - and is slightly lower in acidity. Most importantly though it shows its noble provenance and is absolutely delicious. The wine was aged in 55% new French oak, with the remainder of the barrels being 2-3 years old. This year I made a bit more of this wine as the 48 cases of 2007 sold out in less than two months." -Winery
