"A candidate for wine of the vintage is Grand Veneurs 2006 Chateauneuf du Pape Les Origines. A dense plum/purple color is followed by an intoxicatingly heady perfume of ground pepper, spice box, garrigue, meat juices, and copious quantities of red and black fruits. In the mouth, it exhibits superb texture, silky tannins, and a long, full-bodied, powerful finish with no hard edges. Consume it over the next 10-15 years."
