The varietals are individually fermented in small lots and aged in a combination of new and one year old French oak barrels. A blend of French varietals is traditionally referred to in America as a Meritage. Our name, 'Meritaggio', salutes the contribution of the wonderfully spicy Sangiovese grape to this marriage of premium varietals." -Winery
