"The 2004 Triton is 100% Tinta de Toro sourced from ungrafted, low-yielding, estate vineyards over 100 years of age. The wine underwent malolactic fermentation in barrel and was aged 22 months in 90% French and 10% American oak, of which 50% was new. Dark ruby-colored, it has a classy perfume of pain grille, spice box, black currant, and blackberry jam. This supple-textured wine has gobs of sweet fruit, ripe tannins, and surprising elegance. It should continue to evolve for 2-3 years but it can be enjoyed now and over the next 8-10 years."
