\One of the best parts of my day to day life is working in one of the biggest wine stores in the country, and having a limitless choice of what I can drink on any given night. A lot of people ask me "Ian, what are YOU drinking at home?" Here's a few of my most recent favorites.

2011 Domaine Montvac Vacqueyras Arabesque

If I was to narrow down to a single sip what kind of flavor profile I dream about for a wine of this price, here it is. I love this wine. It has a nice dark fruit profile to it, which is soft and supple, and is medium in body and weight. The finish is long, with a lovely lingering quality and just enough tannin for my palate. What really drives me wild about this wine is the earthy/savory component that adds a ton of complexity. The grilled herbs are fabulous, as is the forest character and dustiness. So good with cold weather meals, this wine is as complete of a wine as you will find under $20.

2013 Domaine Cornin Macon Chaintre Serreudieres

For those who know me well, Burgundy is my big passion. Not just red Burgundy either, as I find myself drinking a lot more white lately (probably because I can't wait for warmer weather!), and this is the most frequent white you will find on my table. It's round and generous, with great acidity, and a ton of mineral character. The fruits are well integrated and don't dominate the wine. I start with a glass of this while cooking dinner most nights.

2011 Glantenay Bourgogne Rouge

Again, this is another one of those "at first sip wines" for me. I'm now officially hooked on this up and coming producer! This wine is perfectly balanced, and even more perfectly priced! This has great fruit approach, and is so well integrated and balanced, and has a good amount of texture and lift to really make this wine tastes like it's village, or even 1er Cru level. It shows nice earthy notes for a wine this humble. Long finish too. This was a real eye opener!
