The Whiskey Wash
Appearance:
It’s a rich golden-amber day in the glass, showcasing well-developed legs and proper viscosity.
Nose:
Right off the bat, I get that yummy wheat and a slight whiff of oak, delivering baked bread notes alongside cherry, brown sugar, vanilla, and some gingerbread.
Palate:
This comes at meet hot and fresh out of the oven, delivering intensity and a desire for a fresh, warm loaf of sweet bread. Vanilla, baked spice, brown sugar, maple syrup, a slight bump of oak, bright, sweet cherry, and applesauce are showcased here.
Finish:
Long and desirable is this finish, giving me nice heat and sweet bread notes as it slowly but intensely fades. As this is cask strength, try it with a single cube to cool it if needed.
Comments:
Heaven Hill’s uncut variants of its different American whiskey offerings consistently deliver quality and flavorful enjoyment. Larceny Barrel Proof Batch A124 extends this trend with ease.... 9 points out of 10
