"Made with 100% Sangiovese, the Fattoria La Massa 2018 Carla 6 comes from a 1.5-hectare vineyard that was planted in 1999 on schistous and clay soils. This vintage reveals a meaty side with more fruit weight and concentration. The wine feels wide and rich to the palate, and it closes with dark fruit, tobacco, crushed stone and even a hint of caper or green olive. This 5,000-bottle production is fermented in stainless steel and then moves over to tonneaux (with one-third made from new oak) for finishing."
