Rating:

"Brilliant gold-yellow with green reflections. Fully ripe vineyard peach and delicate grapefruit zest on the nose. Precise and nicely delineated, with refreshing acidity leavening the wine's creamy, honeyed sweetness. An exceptionally stylish ice wine with a seductive core of exotic fruit. Wonderfully harmonious and very long on the back end. Drink now to 2020+." -93 points- Peter Moser- International Wine Cellar

"Spicy, rich aromas and flavors of mineral, ripe apple, green peach and chamomile tea. There's a decadent buttery note that runs throughout this as well, and extends nicely on the finish with cinnamon and cardamom. Drink now through 2020. 125 cases made." -92 Points Wine Spectator

VINEYARDS:
"The vineyards are sandy soil containing lime and gravel and at 400 meters above sea level with southwest exposure. The vines are an average age of 23 years old. The grapes are picked in January." -Importer

WINEMAKING:
"The Riesling Eiswein was harvested manually in a very cold night. The sweet, frozen grapes were pressed over 18 hours. While the whole ice stayed in the press, only few concentrated most was extracted. The slow fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks and was followed by maturation in stainless steel tanks for 8 months. The aim of this vinification style is to show the natural individuality of the vines, soil, climate and vintage." -Importer

WINE:
"The wine is named after the single-vineyard 'Türken' whose southwest slope with a gradient up to 55% is an ideal place for Riesling. The shoots are thinned out at least 4 times a year and also the amount of grapes is reduced by hand to guarantee best quality. Brilliant gold-yellow with green reflections. Fully ripe vineyard peach and delicate grapefruit zest on the nose. Precise and nicely delineated, with refreshing acidity balancing the wine’s creamy, honeyed sweetness. An ice wine with a seductive core of exotic fruit. Harmonious and very long on the finish." -Importer
