" A richly fruited and distinctly earthy nose of dark and rather somber pinot fruit and violets gives way to rich, full and deep flavors that coat the mouth with sap and there is an attractive sense of energy and drive here, particularly on the long and persistent finish. This is not as elegant as the companion Chambolle wines but the 1er class and depth show."
