The seldom-produced 2011 Señorío de P Peciña Gran Reserva shows how traditional Rioja is more sensitive to the character of the vintage and in a way more transparent, if you want. The fruit feels quite ripe, a little candied, and the oak is quite obvious, while the palate is lacking in the middle and quite marked by the élevage. This spent four years in used American oak barrels. 11,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in August 2017.
