Brandied Bing cherries and rich mocha spices tinged with white pepper pave the way for this decadent expression of Syrah from the Coastview Vineyard in the Gabilan Mountains AVA of Monterey County. Full-bodied with spiced plums, black cherry, fig compote, rum-soaked black forest cake and immensely chocolaty tannins. Its richness is manageable, however, as there's plenty of juicy acidity to help keep this lively through the saline mineral finish.
