"As to the red, notes of charred meats, spice box, some chocolate, ground pepper, and earth all emerge from the 2016 Cornas, which is rich, savory, medium to full-bodied, and ripe. It's a rocking Cornas from this estate that's old school and feral. This cuvée comes from older vines and higher elevation sites, and was destemmed and spent a year in used barrels."

"Vivid purple. Mineral-accented cherry and dark berry liqueur scents are complicated by hints of cola and licorice. Sweet and nicely expansive on the palate, offering sappy blueberry, floral pastille and spicecake flavors that pick up a hint of salty olive with aeration. A subtle chewing tobacco note comes up on the clinging finish, which shows very good delineation and gentle tannins."
"Cornas is located on the right bank of the Rhone in Ardèche. Syrah, the only grape of the appellation, planted on steep slopes, produces a powerful wine of excellent care with purplish reflections when it is young.
Deep color with dark purple color with purple reflection. Framed by a breeding still present, the nose must escape to release a kirsch fruit as well as refined notes of flowers, spicy and bouquet, mocha, licorice stick and nutmeg, violet, cherry juice and kernel. A lot of generosity, the silky matter, the mineral grain and the melted tannins, while undergoing the renewal of hardness that communicates the freshness of the acidity." - Winery
