Inky purple. Ripe blackcurrant, licorice and vanilla on the deeply perfumed nose. Lush black and blue fruit flavors and roasted coffee flavors are joined by hints of bitter chocolate and black pepper. Shows some warmth on the finish, which is supported by smooth, even tannins. Definitely on the rich, somewhat stereotypical Aussie shiraz side of things but there's nothing at all plodding or cloying here.
