"From blocks on the estate Nuriootpa vineyard planted a mere 29 years ago, given 9 days on skins, then 15 months in used French oak. Good colour, although not especially deep, the gently spicy bouquet leading into a medium-bodied, foresty/savoury/spicy palate framed by balanced tannins."

"Medium garnet colored with a hint of purple, the 2012 Shiraz Stonehorse gives a very pleasant nose of ripe blackberries, mulberries and baking spices with hints of incense and potpourri. Full-bodied, rich and expressive, it packs a lot of flavors and character into this modest price point with ripe velvety tannins to texture the long finish." Reviewed June 2015
"The Stonehorse wines are full of character like the teams of Clydesdale horses that used to work the heavy clay soil at the Kaesler vineyard, long before tractors were invented. This wine, made from our Shiraz vines planted in 1985, reflect this heritage.
Inky bright crimson with a dark centre and a youthful edge. On then nose is dark fruits of the forest and hints of cassis & spice. The palate offers a supple, elegant mouth feel. Dark fruits such as blackberry and blueberry with lighter red fruits such as red currant. Some spicy notes and oak mingle on the palate.A wine to enjoy in its youth or to enjoy over the next 5-8 years" - Winery
