"Almost entirely sourced from Malmesbury in Swartland, the 2010 Syrah has a very well defined peppery bouquet that you would swear is from the Northern Rhone. The palate is rounded and generous on the entry, very harmonious with subtle white pepper sprinkled over the black, earthy fruit. It has impressive purity and although it just tapers away a little at the finish, this entry level Syrah ticks all the right boxes and is highly recommended. Mark Kent of Boekenhootskloof has produced a superb, entry-level Syrah under the Porcupine Ridge moniker that delivers great value."
