"Of all the Clarendon Hills 2008 Syrahs, the Moritz probably offers the best value. It's plummy, dark and intense, with savory overtones of meat and spice that complement the wine's full body and creamy texture. The long finish echoes with hints of coffee, meat and plummy fruit. Drink now–2020."

"The 2008 Moritz Vineyard Syrah possesses a deep garnet-purple color and offers warm blackberry and black currant notes with some vanilla, toast, cumin seed, fennel seed and damp earth plus a whiff of truffles. Full-bodied with medium-firm grainy tannins, concentrated fruit and high acid, it finishes long with lingering Indian spice flavors. Delicious now, it should keep to 2018."
