The sons are winemaker Corey Ryan and viticulturist Simon Cowham, although the roles can easily be reversed. Their red wines always have a velvet-rimmed mouthfeel of luscious fruit brought into line by acidity and classy tannins leading into a fine finish.

Wonderfully fruited and perfumed, the bouquet shows Black Doris plum, blueberry, anise and violet aromas with a light dusting of spice. It is equally satisfying on the palate, displaying excellent weight and roundness, backed by smooth texture and flowing mouthfeel. Silky, succulent and lingering. At its best: 2019 to 2027.
As well as growing exceptional grapes, David Marschall was a martial artist and demolition expert. This wine reflects his life in its explosive power.
Garnet in colour this modern Barossa wine bounces out of the glass with ripe blueberry and red licorice aromas. The palate is fresh, juicy and alive with dark berried fruits, finishing with a textured savoury edge. Delicious drinking now but will mature well for the medium term.
