About

Product Description:

"In 1531, Jean de Pontac, the owner of Château Haut Brion, acquired Château Perron after witnessing potential to produce great Graves wines. This lovely estate is owned and managed by the Guignard family, wine growers since 1610. They are now considered the leading vineyard owners in the Graves region. The company is run by the three Guignard brothers, Bruno, Dominique and Pascal, who have become the most important producers of the Graves appellation and are recognized as the true specialists of the region. Dominique Guignard is the agricultural engineer who studied at the Ecole Superieure d’Agriculture de Purpan and worked abroad in the United States before returning to his family’s winery in 1990. He is currently the Chairman of the Union of Graves and is also credited with establishing the Route des Vins de Bordeaux, Sauternes and Graves. Bruno Guignard, who joined the family operation in 1992, serves as oenlogist having received a Masters in Wine Management from the Bordeaux Institute of Oenology. Pascal Guignard who holds degrees in viticulture and oenlogy, and worked in Stellenbosch South Africa, joined his brothers in 1996 as quality control engineer.

Notes of cedar, blackberry, and tobacco are supported by fine, dense tannins. This traditional Bordeaux is drinking beautifully today but also can age another ten years or more." - Importer
