"Wild berry, tobacco, smoke, and blue-flower aromas merge together on this radiant red. The vibrant savory palate presents succulent wild cherry, star anise, clove and a hint of saline while bright acidity and taut refined tannins provide the elegant framework. Give it several more years to fully develop. Drink 2013–2033. -KO"

"Padelletti s 2013 Brunello di Montalcino is restrained at first, displaying pure strawberry and dried florals with cooling notions of mint leaf, dusty soil tones and cedar shavings. On the palate, soft textures are complemented by fresh red fruits, with cool-toned minerality, and hints of sage in an expression that comes across as ethereal and poised. The finish is long, resonating of tart berries and subtle spices, as a coating of fine tannin lingers, yet the wine remains remarkably lifted and precise."

"A Brunello with citrus, cherries and hints of autumnal leaves. Medium body, fine tannins and a fresh, juicy finish. Linear and bright."

"Padelletti is one of the oldest winemaking families in Montalcino, and they proudly propose a very traditional interpretation of the Sangiovese grape. The 2013 Brunello di Montalcino presents dense fruit aromas with blackberry and ripe cherry. This vintage offers more in terms of power and brawn. The Padelletti wine style is known for elegance and grace, but this expression still needs time to better integrate. Some 8,000 bottles were made."
