"This is a medium-bodied white with an array of mineral, peach, spice and melon flavors. The structure is impressive, with a long, vibrant finish, filled with white pepper and citrus notes."
Product Description:
The variety Roter Veltliner was probably brought to this region in Roman times. We started planting young and old vines around Goesing to reflect the whole potential of the Wagram region. Our own precious selection of vines with loose clusters and best berries were chosen in recent years and grafted on vines at the steep slope of BERG EISENHUT with red gravel as well on terraces of Vordere Taeler (red gravel and sand of the primordial Donau).
Only the best and mature grapes are selected and handpicked to produce this Roter Veltliner. The must is fermented slowly in stainless steal tanks. The young wine, some of it in large wooden barrels, is maturing until bottling on fine lees. The next year, in spring the wine is carefully bottled at the winery.
