"From 40- to 55-year-old vines on red slate, the 2015 Bremmer Calmont Riesling opens with very clear, refined yet intense, aromatic and perfect fruit on the nose. Intermixed with very delicate stony aromas and some herbal flavors from the red slate, this is a really noble expression from a spectacular steep vineyard. On the palate, this wine combines its richness and ripeness with purity, finesse and the elegant vitality of slate. The finish is highly elegant and persistently salty whereas the pure stones give grip and tension."
