"The NV Extra Brut Rose de Saignee is a thrilling, totally compelling wine bursting with Pinot character. The wine possesses gorgeous inner perfume and richness, with sweet candied notes that linger on the finish. This is 100% 2006 Pinot Noir from Vertus vinified in steel. This bottle was disgorged in April 2009 and dosage is 3 grams per liter. The 2006 comes across as firm and needing further time in bottle than the 2005 did at a similar stage. Still, this is marvelous juice that comes across as Burgundy with bubbles. The wine will pair beautifully with white and red meat dishes. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2016. Once again I was blown away by the wines I tasted from Larmandier-Bernier. These are some of the purest and most exquisite wines readers are likely to come across. Larmandier-Bernier practices biodynamic farming and the wines all see minimal levels of dosage. Simply put, I can’t recommend the wines highly enough."
