The Family saga started at the end of World War II, on September 9th 1944, the liberation day of Vosne-Romanée Suzette SIRUGUE (born BISSEY), a native of the region, coming from a family of vignerons for several generations, met François GERBET, born in The Pyrenées, and one of the liberators of the village of Vosne-Romanée. The family estate FRANCOIS GERBET was created back in 1946, farming vineyards that have been in the family for more than 100 years. In the mid-60s, the vineyards of Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits located immediately above Nuits-Saint-Georges were planted. In 1998, a new plot of Vosne-Romanée village ” Au-dessus de la Rivière” was added to the family vineyards. In order to perpetuate the family epic, Marie-Odile ARCHAMBAUD GERBET, one of François’s daughters, started in 2004 the company called J & J ARCHAMBAUD with her husband, Jean-Pierre ARCHAMBAUD and her sons, Jean-Philippe and Jean-Christophe. J&J ARCHAMBAUD is located in Vosne-Romanée, “the pearl of the Côte”, one of the most prestigious wine village in the Côte de Nuits. . J & J ARCHAMBAUD owns and farm more than 5 hectares of renowned appellations.
