93-96 Jasper Morris, MW - Inside Burgundy

Rich dark purple, with an evidently ripe nose at 14.3%. The cherries may eb on the richer side but they are not cooked. The wine is staying in very good shape because this vineyard always delivers a mineral crunch at the back. A lovely wine which holds its own here very well. I think the best he has made. One of the highlights of the range this year is the 2020 Corton Grand Cru Les Perrières, a vibrant, mineral wine evocative of wild berries, forest floor, rich spices and rose petals. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated and vibrant, with beautifully refined tannins and a long, penetrating finish, it's well worth seeking out.
