This 2020 bottling of "Les Clos Roussots" yet again showcases Charleux's deft winemaking touch - very modest use of new wood, indigenous wild yeasts, and a non-interventionist technique during elevage. What you get in the bottle is nothing short of amazing; not as overtly powerful and saturated as the 2019, but a more lithe and elegant version by comparison. Still showing fresh red berry fruits, some underlying garrigue in perfect proportion, and a racy and verve-filled finish. Truly delightful and the only thing more attractive about this wine in the glass is the incredible value it brings to the consumer.
