The palate is ripe with very present tannins all the while with bright red fruit. Jono Hersey, FWC Tasting note: Moderate wood surrounds the brooding liqueur-like aromas of red and dark currant, plum and a whiff of the sauvage. However, unlike the prior wines the wood can also be found on the mid-palate of the round, succulent and surprisingly forward flavors that culminate in a mildly sweet yet somewhat grippy finish where the wood resurfaces. This is on the oaky side today and is a wine that will need at least a few years to better integrate the wood treatment. 91 Points. Outstanding
