2015 was a magnificent vintage and well sought after only to be surpassed by 2016. This phenomenal wine deriving mostly from the famed Vosne Romanee from 40 yr old vines across from the Domaine is aged for 16 months in 20% new French oak barrels. Like its prior vintage, the 2016 is rich, ripe, and very well balance, but with greater acidity and minerality reminding me of the great 2010. This wine has a silky and smooth texture with delicious dark cherry flavors that should provide drinking pleasure for years.
